Booking the Centre
For facility information or to book a session for the community, an ongoing program, a special event or private function such as a wedding or banquet, send an email to mayneislandcommunitycentre@gmail.com
The Mayne Island Community Centre Society is committed to keeping rates low for programs open to the community, educational, fitness or local annual general meetings for example. Use of our commercial kitchen can be included for a small fee depending on usage.
2023 Rental Rates are below. If you are considering a larger public event, a deposit and other fees may apply. Serving food often requires that a Food Permit be secured at least 2 weeks before the event. If you are serving alcohol, a Special Occasion Licence is required, as well as event insurance through your agent, or purchased separately online from companies like PAL or DUUO. If you are uncertain about your requirements, please get in touch and our booking agent can assist you.

Private Functions: Weddings, Parties, Banquets or other functions by invitation only: The venue offers 1220 square feet of space in the Main Room, with access to a cozy, connected Social Lounge. During the warmer season, our marquee tent is up and adds another 1200 square feet to the Main Room area via a large, glass power door.
A private event rental includes exclusive use of the facility from Friday evening to Sunday early afternoon, use of our commercial kitchen, round and rectangular tables, table cloths and place settings for 100 plus guests. A detailed inventory of kitchen equipment is available upon request.
$2,000 Tent Season: The main and social rooms plus the Marquee Tent has banquet seating capacity of approximately 100. |
